Week 19 & 20, Love Music

This fortnight’s panel feels especially personal.
Love Music.
Not because I craft with playlists in the background, funnily enough I usually prefer the quiet or talk radio when I’m knitting or crocheting, but because music has always been a huge part of who I am. Alongside yarn and creativity, singing has been one of my greatest constants.
This week, my crafting time has been split between the Kindness Cardi and Burton’s Bollards, with a growing pile of little crocheted hearts taking shape for one of this year’s bollard covers.

Work has been wonderfully full on lately, so these slower moments have felt extra precious. A basket of yarn, a patch of sunshine on the decking, and a bit of peace before the British weather changes its mind.
Music teaches me so much, but in particular how to listen, and how to make together. To listen to the people around us, to find harmony, to know when to lead, and when to support. To make something from nothing, whether that’s a song, a stitch, an idea, or a moment of connection.
And honestly, the world could probably do with a little more of both.
