This fortnight's panels are Piano Monster and Hug Me.
They're both a reminder to focus on the things that bring joy.
It's surprisingly easy to spend more time looking at what's wrong with the world than appreciating what's right in front of us. A quick check of social media can easily turn into half an hour of doom scrolling, and somehow you come away feeling worse than when you started.
Half term has been a timely reminder of the importance of choosing joy.
We've had a glorious week of sunshine and made the most of it as a family, with water parks, Lego workshops and time out on the boat. It’s been perfect!
What’s also lovely to see that same sense of positivity building around Burton's Bollards too. More contributors are coming on board, more conversations are happening and it feels like the project is really starting to gather momentum.
The older I get, the more I realise that happiness isn't usually found in big moments. It's found in the everyday stuff. Family adventures. Creative projects. Community spirit. A good coffee. A sunny afternoon. A silly piano monster.
So that's my reminder to myself this fortnight.
Put the phone down, Look up. Pay attention to the things that make you smile.
They're often much closer than you think.
